1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using any part of the Button Design Studio website and web application (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the "Terms") and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is operated from Sun Lakes, Arizona, United States, and these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona. The Service is available to customers worldwide.
2. Description of the service
Button Design Studio is a web-based design tool for creating custom pin-back buttons and badges. The Service is offered in two paid tiers — Lite and Pro — each of which requires an active subscription. There is no free tier: access to the design studio requires a current paid subscription.
3. Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account and use the Service. The Service is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, anyone under 13.
- One account per person. You must provide an accurate email address and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at info@buttondesignstudio.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Subscriptions, billing and auto-renewal
Paid plans automatically renew on a recurring basis until you cancel. By clicking "Subscribe" at checkout you authorise us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method the plan price shown on the pricing page at the start of each billing period — monthly or yearly as you selected. This is an express consent to the recurring charges and is separate from your acceptance of these Terms.
- All prices are in US Dollars (USD) and exclude any applicable taxes.
- Payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
- You may cancel at any time, in two clicks, from the /account page. Cancellation takes effect immediately, stops all future charges, and leaves your access active until the end of the current billing period.
- For yearly plans, we email a reminder 15–30 days before each renewal with the renewal amount and a direct cancel link.
5. Refunds
The free demo at /try/ lets you test every tool before subscribing, and you can cancel at any time from the /account page. We offer a 7-day refund window on unintended auto-renewal charges, and for yearly plans, a pro-rated refund if you cancel within the first 30 days. 6. Acceptable use
When using the Service you agree not to:
- Resell or redistribute the Service, or engage in bulk commercial resale of output produced solely by running the tool (the individual button designs you create remain yours to use — see section 7).
- Scrape, crawl, or access the Service by automated means other than via interfaces we explicitly provide.
- Circumvent or abuse our rate limits, authentication mechanisms, or usage quotas.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
- Use the Service to create, distribute, or store content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or otherwise prohibited by applicable law.
7. Intellectual property and infringement notices
You retain full ownership of the button designs and artwork you create using the Service. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host and display your designs solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
Button Design Studio and its licensors retain all right, title and interest in and to the Service itself, including the software, user interface, underlying source code, trademarks, logos, and documentation. No licence to our intellectual property is granted except as expressly stated in these Terms.
To report content you believe infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, email info@buttondesignstudio.com with "DMCA" in the subject line. Include the allegedly infringing URL, identification of your original work, your contact details, and a good-faith statement. We act on valid notices promptly.
8. Changes to the Service
We may modify, add, or discontinue features of the Service from time to time. If we materially discontinue a paid feature that was central to your plan, active subscribers will receive reasonable advance notice and, where appropriate, a pro-rated refund for the unused portion of their current billing period.
9. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by using the Delete Account button on the /account page or by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, or if we reasonably believe your use of the Service poses a security or legal risk. Where practical we will give you notice before acting.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that print output will match your expectations on every printer.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. In no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify active account holders by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. The state and federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service. Small-claims court remains available to either party where permitted. You and Button Design Studio each waive any right to a jury trial and any right to participate in a class action.
